Statewide agricultural employment in crop production has wobbled between 165,000 and 175,000 each year over the past decade. The average weekly wage for workers – while not high – has climbed steadily. Crop production represents more than one-third of all employment in the agriculture/forestry/fishing & hunting industry sector.
