Assaults on SEPTA Operators

Assaults on SEPTA’s operators nearly quadrupled from 2019 to 2020, at the onset of the pandemic. Physical assaults include incidents that resulted in an injury, requiring a report to the federal government. “Other” assaults are incidents, such as spitting, threats, and thrown objects, that SEPTA calls “acts of disrespect.”
