Northwestern Kellogg and Chicago Booth may be the Midwest’s highest-ranked MBA programs, but that doesn’t translate to higher pay over peer schools. In the Midwest – like most regions – Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton dominate. HBS MBAs pull down the highest pay here at $156,457, besting Stanford GSB by $2,000 in the process. The Chicago schools – Kellogg and Booth – rank 5th and 6th in Midwest pay at $145,955 and $144,429 respectively. Texas McCombs and Georgetown McDonough also performed well, as grads raked in $137,667 and $135,615 respectively starting out. Looking for the best place to land a big base? That would be the Midwest. Not only did pay top out at $300,000, but students from four schools achieved this feat. Technically, Rice Jones MBAs enjoyed the biggest pay raise over the previous year at $29K. Of course, that total encompasses three graduates. Still, plenty of schools outside Harvard enjoyed five figure pay increases over the previous year, including Dartmouth Tuck, Chicago Booth, MIT Sloan, Northwestern Kellogg, Georgetown McDonough, and Yale SOM.
