For much of the past decade, senior citizens in Fresno and Madera counties have been victimized by violent crime at a greater rate per 10,000 senior residents than the statewide average.
Figures represent the rate of violent crimes (homicide, rape, robbery and assault) against senior citizens per 10,000 residents age 60 and older.
