Airfare increases at California's largest airports

Airfares for domestic flight itineraries from California's largest airports between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2022, were up by an average of $80, or about 26%, compared to a year earlier. Here are the figures for California airports that are among the 100 busiest in the U.S.

The figure for a domestic itinerary is the average fare paid for all legs of a trip within the U.S., including connections beyond the first nonstop leg of a trip. The time period is the second quarter of the federal fiscal year, Jan. 1 through March 31 of each year.
