Chicago Narcotic Arrests January 2015 through January 2019

There were 63,594 narcotic related arrests in Chicago from January 2015 to January 2019. Data presented reflects the more prominent arrests, ranging from cannabis to opioid-related arrests. In total, there were 16,841 opioid-related arrests.

*Heroin, altered/forged prescriptions and possession of hypodermic needles are highlighted due to their correlation to the opioid crisis. The 16,841 opioid-related arrests are the combined totals from the heroin, altered/forged prescriptions and possession of hypodermic needle arrests.
