The good news: In the South, Chicago Booth grads have seen their value rise by nearly $10K in the past year and almost $30K since 2015. The bad news: Their base pay still falls short of Stanford GSB. At $161,314 in starting base, Stanford GSB outpaced Chicago Booth ($152,143), Harvard Business School ($151,765), and Northwestern Kellogg ($149,846). In fact, southern MBA programs don’t enjoy much of an advantage in Dixie, as Virginia Darden ($139,441), Duke Fuqua ($126,796), Vanderbilt Owen ($125,541), and North Carolina Kenan-Flagler ($123,847) trail behind. At $300K individual base, Stanford GSB also owns bragging rights to the highest-paid 2020 grad in the South, with Northwestern Kellogg ($250K) and Harvard Business School ($220K) also cracking the $200K mark.
