2024 MBA Pay: West

The West Coast is Stanford’s world – and the numbers prove it. GSB grads secured the highest pay of any region at $192,195 – a near $5,500 improvement over the Class of 2023. By the same token, a Stanford grad also took home the large single pay package: $500,000! Despite its East Coast roots, Harvard Business School finished 2nd in pay, with 243 grads averaging $184,070 – or more than what their counterparts made working in the Northeast. Even more, it represented a roughly $5,500 improvement over the 2023 average. Oh – and the West Coast’s highest-paid Harvard MBA netted a $300,000 package too. Beyond Stanford and Harvard, West Coast pay packages aligned with most other regions, where Wharton, Virginia Darden, and Chicago Booth grads regularly churned out some of the highest averages. A Michigan Ross grad also squeezed out a $300,000 package, with a Georgia Tech Scheller grad bringing home $249,600 for the year.
