4 in 10 sexual conduct complaints not investigated last year
Figures for 2023/4 show that 41% of allegations around sexual conduct made in police complaints* were not investigated, according to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
*Figures are for Schedule 3 complaints - serious formal police complaints under the Police Reform Act, Data across all police forces, for 2023/4, looking at sexual conduct complaints only.
