The casino companies donated $385,000 to the DGA in the weeks leading up to Louisiana's primary (10/12) and run-off (11/16) elections last fall. The DGA -- which spent roughly $8 million on the La. gubernatorial contest during that period -- says the timing is a coincidence; the group held a scheduled fundraiser in Las Vegas.
