Major offshore oil spill hits Orange County beaches

At least 126,000 gallons of crude oil poured into the coastal waters off Huntington Beach and infiltrated sensitive wetland areas, such as Talbert Marsh. The spill originated from a broken pipeline connected to an offshore oil platform called Elly.
