Madera Community Hospital's cash reserves took a plunge during the COVID-19 pandemic

By June 2022, the Madera hospital was out of all its limited use cash, despite having $15.5 million the year prior. The hospital started out the pandemic with about $19.5 million in unrestricted cash reserves but held onto only $8.7 million by June 2022 — of which it is unclear how much remains today.
