Homicides increase by 14 percent between 2020-2021

From 2020 to 2021, total violent crime also increased in Washington D.C. 4,117 violent crimes were reported in 2021 as compared to 4,004 in the previous year. The number of assaults committed with a dangerous weapon also went up.
