Under the federal public health emergency declared in March 2020, states cannot end coverage for people enrolled in Medicaid. Since then, New Hampshire has seen its total Medicaid enrollment grow significantly to more than 222,000. But the state estimates 70,000 of those people could be at risk of losing their coverage when the federal public health emergency ends.
