Notes
The category "Pieces of content removed by volunteer subreddit moderators (any reason, including AutoModerator) was broadened in Reddit's 2020 report to include data on proactive and reported AutoMod comment removals, Mod comment removals, AutoMod post removals, and Mod post removals.
Reddit's 2019 report includes data on the percentage of actionable and non-actionable content policy violation reports received. However, this metric is presented differently in the 2020 report. The 2020 report features this information under a section titled "User Reports" and reads: "13.2% of reports resulted in action being taken by Admins. The remaining 86.8% of reports were either duplicates, already actioned, or the reported content didn't violate our rules.
The metric "Number of Potential Content Policy Violations Reported Directly to Reddit" was renamed "Total user reports for potential Content Policy violations" in 2019.
In Reddit's 2020 report, the metric "Total accounts suspended by Reddit Admins for content policy violations (excluding spam and other types of content manipulation at scale) changed to "Permanent account sanctions (spam vs. all other reasons)".
