Disabled 16- to 64-Year-Olds By Employment and Labor Force Status Over Time
This filled-in line chart shows the 3-month moving average of the number of disabled people ages 16 to 64 who were employed (represented in red), unemployed (represented steel blue), and not in the labor force (represented in navy) from June 2008 through July 2024. While the number of employed disabled people in this age range increased substantially in 2023, the number without jobs (which includes both the unemployed and those not in the labor force) has been largely steady since 2018.
