U.S. CBP electronic device searches by quarter, 2018-25

Last quarter, close to 15,000 travellers' devices were searched by U.S. border officials, up from roughly 8,000 during the same period in the 2018 fiscal year.

The lighter blue bars represent searches in each year's third quarter, which runs from April to June.

Note: U.S. Customs and Border Protection's fiscal years begin on October 1st and end on the following Sept. 30th.
