The district's literacy tests determine, in addition to a student’s score, whether he or she is considered at low risk of falling behind grade level in reading that year. This chart shows how far, on average, San Diego Unified second- through eighth-graders were from being considered low-risk on tests this fall. Numbers above zero indicate higher performance, numbers below lower. Spotlight students are the 15-20% of students at each school considered to be at highest risk of not meeting grade level.
