Foss Maritime is the latest Seattle boatyard to close, as Seattle’s historic shipbuilding industry continues to fade. The number of Washington state jobs in ship and boat building has fallen nearly 15% in the past decade, while the total number of jobs in the state rose 16% during the same period to 3.26 million.
