New Jersey total COVID-19 deaths through Jan. 1, 2021

The University of Washington Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation projects New Jersey will see a generally flat trajectory in coming months in the toll from COVID-19, projected to reach 17,795 deaths by Jan. 1, 2021, with little change seen from mitigation mandates easing. The death toll could reach as low as 16,455 with universal mask-wearing, the model shows.
