Autism Spectrum Disorder Prevalence Among 8-Year-Olds

Since 2000, the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network has reported ASD prevalence every two years. Over the past two decades, there has been a significant increase in ASD prevalence estimates among 8-year-old children, rising from one in 150 children in 2000 to one in 36 in 2020.
