Sexual harrassment at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy

One in 8 women, or 12 percent of respondents, at the United States Coast Guard Academy said they were victim to unwanted sexual contact in 2018 — double the share ten years ago. Among male cadets, one in 28 said they experienced an unwanted sexual contact in 2018.

For this survey, USCG defined "unwanted sexual contact" to include experiencing completed or attempted unwanted sexual intercourse, oral sex, anal sex, or penetration by a finger or object, or unwanted sexual touching.
