Last week 187 apartment and townhouse contracts were reported in Manhattan, the fewest number of deals since late February. The total was 32 deals fewer than the prior week and 15 fewer signings than one year ago. Aggregate dollar volume, based on last asking price, slipped further to $361.1 million, down 24% from the prior week and down 8% year over year. This was the lowest aggregate dollar volume figure since the second week of January.
The median asking price of signed contracts was $1.195 million, down 4% week over week but up 4% from the same week last year. Average time on market of signed deals fell to 107 days.
