U.S. Import Price Changes Since January 2014

The 12-month percent change in the price of imported goods has contracted every month since August 2014. The change hit a four-year low in September. Low oil prices (which makes goods cheaper to produce and ship) and a strong U.S. dollar (which makes imported goods cheaper to buy) have been the main drivers.
