2021 elections most likely to see violence

The election violence forecaster at the University of Central Florida uses historic data dating back to 1975 and several key indicators to project which countries' elections are at most risk of violence. Risk is measured on a scale of 0 to 1; the higher the number, the higher the risks of election violence. According to its tabulations, Ethiopia, Chad and Haiti are most likely to see election-related violence this year.

Nepal's general election has two phases (April 30 and May 10). Both are at similarly high risk of violence; for clarity this chart shows only the April 30 election. The date of Haiti's next election is currently being contested.
