Cook County pension payments, 2012-2023

Starting in 2016, Cook County began making supplemental payments into its pension funds. Through 2023, those supplemental payments will total nearly $2.6 billion, while an additional $180 million has been added to the county's pension reserve.

2023's payment will not be made until the end of the calendar year.
