Distracted Driving Data for Teens Ages 15 to 19 (2024)

In 2024, teenagers accounted for 16% of fatalities in crashes involving distracted driving. Of the 2,662 fatal crashes involving teen drivers, 7% (186) were caused by distracted driving. The accompanying table offers a detailed breakdown of crash and fatality statistics related to teen drivers.
