Voters are split along partisan lines when it comes to third country removals

Some immigrants cannot be deported to their home country because that country refuses to accept them. What should the U.S. do in these cases?

The Searchlight Institute and Tavern Research conducted an online survey of 1,502 likely 2026 voters from January 23-26, 2026. The results were weighted by gender, race, education, age, and 2024 presidential vote choice. The margin of error for this survey is +/- 3.9% and is higher for subgroups.
