Former President Jimmy Carter will lie in repose at the Carter Presidential Center this weekend. Here is how the public can visit the center during that time.
When: From 7 p.m. Saturday through 6 a.m. Tuesday
No parking: The parking lot is closed at the center. There have been no announcements concerning ride-sharing locations, and visitors are encouraged to take MARTA.
Shuttle buses: MARTA will run shuttles every five minutes to and from the King Memorial station. There will be no parking at the MARTA station; riders may park at other stations' lots. Although the shuttles are free, riders must still pay the usual MARTA fare to the King Memorial station.
Trails: Visitors may also arrive by walking or biking. The center is located on the John Lewis Freedom Parkway Trail where the trail crosses the Eastside Beltline.
