Data based on two surveys conducted by the Bank of Canada. The consumer expectation survey was conducted between Aug. 4 - 16, with follow-up interviews from Sept. 5 - 11. The business outlook survey was conducted between Aug. 14 and Sept. 8. Chart does not include "Don't know" response from the consumer survey (17%) while the business outlook survey did not include the response as an option.
