In line with national trends, violent crime in the Twin Cities down over decades
Reports of violent crimes — including homicides, robberies, rapes and aggravated assaults — in Minneapolis and St. Paul have dropped since the mid-1990s, according to data from the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting Program.
The FBI UCR changed its definition of "rape" in 2013.
