The income data in the SILC 2021 survey relates to the year 2020, i.e. during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The at-risk-of-poverty threshold for all three indicators is set at 60% of the median equivalised disposable income after social transfers (not considering any financial assets). Social transfers in the narrow sense cover all social transfers excluding old-age and survivors' benefits (e.g. family allowances, invalidity pensions, granting of reduced health insurance premiums, social assistance or unemployment insurance daily allowances). In the case of the at-risk-of-poverty rate before all social transfers, old-age and survivors' benefits are also considered to be social transfers.
