Ohio Bridges By Condition

Bridges inspections include ratings on a 1-to-9 scale for four main components: deck, superstructure, substructure and culvert. A rating between 1-4 is labeled as “poor”; 5-6 is “fair”; and 7-9 is “good.” The bridge condition is classified based on its lowest component rating. In other words, if any part of the bridge is seen as being in “poor” condition, the whole bridge is labeled as “poor."
