Subscriptions Up, Advertising Down

Paid subscriptions reached a record high of 60.2% of U.S. recorded music revenue in the first half of 2024, according to the RIAA. Ad-supported on-demand streaming's market share fell for the second straight year, to 10.4% from 10.5% and 11.3% in the first half of 2023 and 2022, respectively.
