Southern United States at risk of facing worst impact of climate change

The Climate Change Risk Index weighs the severity of multiple effects of climate change — extreme heat, drought, wildfires, coastal flooding and inland flooding — to determine which states are facing the most risk: Southern states, with notable exceptions like California.
