This chart shows the average accuracy of AI language models on 20 Irish grammatical features, ranked from highest to lowest accuracy. Models performed best on the Future Tense (90% accuracy), Basic Noun Pluralization (82%), Present Tense (82%), and Prepositional Pronouns (82%). They struggled most with the Autonomous Verb Form (38%), Past Tense (47%), and Personal Numbers (49%). Middle-performing features include Adjectives (63%), Genitive Case (65%), and Conditional Mood (67%). The data reveals that models generally excel at regular, predictable patterns and struggle with grammatical features unique to Irish that have no direct equivalents in English or other major languages.
