Projected Global Population

The global population is projected to hit 8 billion by Nov. 15, 2022, according to the United Nations.

Countries could see a dip in world population should fertility rates stay low (7 billion people by 2100), a plateau at 10 million at medium rates, or an exponential increase to 14.8 billion people should fertility rates rise.

Projections are based on low, medium or high fertility rates world wide.
