The world is more democratic than it was 100 years ago, but it has recently declined

Since 1900, the average extent to which citizens and leaders in different countries discuss different views and seek the public good has grown, but there has been a sharp decline for the last 10 years. The rating ranges from 0 - 1 (most democatic).
