Industrial sites along the Delaware river between Pennsylvania's southern border and Trenton, N.J. released almost 554,000 pounds of toxic chemicals into the air, based on self reporting to the EPA. Over 127,000 of those emissions were carcinogens, which is around 23%. A much smaller fraction are Persistent Bioaccumulative Toxic (PBT) Chemicals.
