Is Compton the best school district in California?

The relationship between the 2024 Distance from Standard (DFS) and the 2025 growth score is much stronger for Math than it was for ELA. Compton again does much better than would be predicted by its prior achievement level.

Shows all districts with at least 4,000 students with growth scores. DFS measures how much above or below the standard the average student was in 2024. It was calculated based on SBAC scores in grades 3-8.
