Young GOPers are less hostile to China than older GOPers

In two surveys of Americans, Republicans under age 35 viewed China as less of a threat than older Republicans did, while recognizing its economic power. As a result, on China policies, younger Republicans' attitudes fall somewhere between those held by GOP elders and those held by Democrats.

2019 Chicago survey of 2,059 has margin of error=±2.3% but larger for partisan subgroups; 2020 Fox News survey of 1,207 has margin of error=±2.5% and ±4% for Republican and Democrat subgroups.
