Percent of two-party presidential vote share for proposed 2022 congressional districts
A map of Texas showing proposed congressional district boundaries. If passed by Texas' state legislature, the new district lines would take effect in the 2022 midterm elections.
Districts are color coded based on the percentage share of votes President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump won in the 2020 election, allocated according to the new boundaries.
Based on the distribution of 2020 presidential votes, the partisan lean in most districts will intensify — as Republicans seek to protect their party's incumbents by making their seats safer.
NOTE: "Old map" and "proposed change" data unavailable for Texas' 37th and 38th Districts, which will be new in 2022.
