COVID-19 Deaths in Chicago by race

Deaths have fallen among every race since mid-May, but have impacted Black Chicagoans the most. As of May 30, Black people made up 45% of COVID deaths in Chicago, despite making up 30% of the population. Latinx people made up 30% of deaths and 29% of the population. White people make up 19.5% of deaths, but 32% of the population.
