Iron Range mining recovery predates Trump

Mining has always been prone to booms and busts, though the industry has employed a shrinking number of Minnesotans in the 21st Century compared to its late-20th Century heyday. Employment started to climb back up in 2016 and steadily continued through the start of 2020 before the pandemic hit.
