Dasherboard signage isn’t the only key new revenue stream for NHL teams this season. Jersey patch deals also have been approved, giving teams the chance to add significant revenue; the Minnesota Wild’s deal with HealthPartners, for example, is worth $5.65 million per year for five seasons. As of Sept. 28, 11 of the league’s 32 teams had announced a sponsor, the first being the Washington Capitals (with Caesars Sportsbook) and the most recent the Boston Bruins (with cybersecurity company Rapid7).
