Changes in incarceration rates  

Between June 2020 and 2025, the NT prison rate (prisoners per 100,000 people) rose by 59 per cent. The next largest increase was in Queensland, where the prison rate rose by 18 per cent, while in NSW and the ACT saw decreases.
