Fire Hotspots in Registered Rural Areas Declined in 2023

The graph displays the number of fire hotspots categorized by Rural Environmental Registry (Cadastro Ambiental Rural).

The CAR rural properties were categorized into four groups: smallholdings up to 1 fiscal module, small properties between 1 and 4 fiscal modules, medium properties between 4 and 15 fiscal modules, and large properties exceeding 15 fiscal modules. To address potential location inaccuracies of hotspots, a 500-meter buffer zone was applied to the CAR rural properties database.
