Extreme weather hits seven Southeast Asian countries in 2024

Sixty-five extreme weather events, such as floods, storms, rains and drought, were recorded across seven Southeast Asian countries tracked by the World Meteorological Organization in 2024. The Philippines accounted for about two-thirds of all events.
