How much Pa. school districts could save under HB 1500

An estimate of how much traditional school districts could save if an $8,000 cap was placed on cyber charter school enrollment. Actual savings would vary depending on the total number of SPED students enrolled.

The estimate is based on total enrollment in cyber charter schools on Oct. 1, 2024 and 2025 tuition rates. Actual savings could also be higher, as cyber enrollment has increased since Oct. 1 and tuition rates in the coming school year are likely to increase.
