Table 2: State Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Benefits and Eligibility

Students enrolled less than half-time are not subject to the special student rules, but may be required to participate in activities under SNAP Employment and Training. If they are 18–50 and do not receive SNAP with a child under 18, or otherwise qualify for an exemption, they may be limited to three months of benefits in a 36-month period if they are not working at least 20 hours a week.
